Dr. Joseph Mizrahi is an attending gastroenterologist in the Division of Digestive Diseases at Mount Sinai Downtown and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Before joining the faculty at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Dr. Mizrahi completed medical school at The American Medical Program at Tel Aviv University. He then went on to complete both his Internal Medicine Residency and his Gastroenterology Fellowship, where he served as Chief Fellow, at Stony Brook University Hospital. He also completed a Master’s degree in Public Health at Stony Brook University.
Dr. Mizrahi specializes in general gastroenterology, endoscopy, and colonoscopy. His research focuses on quality improvement for colorectal cancer screening and inpatient gastroenterology care, topics in which he has published numerous articles. In addition, he has a particular interest in reducing healthcare disparities through community outreach and innovations in healthcare information delivery.
